As a general contractor, the firm ensures rigorous site supervision, guaranteeing delivery on time and on budget. James Konjovic, founder and managing director of K.R.E. Concept, talks to Le Figaro Partner.

What distinguishes K.R.E. Concept's approach to the furnishings market?
We 've been in the Design & Build business for 25 years, positioning ourselves as a general contractor for companies. Our added value lies in our ability to take charge of a project from A to Z, from space design to turnkey delivery, thanks to a team with years of experience: DPLG/DE and interior architects, space planners, quantity surveyors, designers & scenographers, site managers...
For companies, the advantage of turning to a general contractor is that they don't have to worry about site supervision, which can be very complicated to manage when so many different trades are involved. By turning to us, they can be sure of staying on time and on budget. We can also help you find the right land for your project.
How do you support companies' new needs?
Companies are indeed expressing new needs to which we have to adapt, and are moving towards the flex office concept: we design these new spaces with agile co-working layouts, nomadic positions, more informal zones to enable employees to meet and work in project mode. Complemented by confidential spaces, often fitted out with acoustic booths.
We select furniture, acoustic solutions, interior decoration, solar protection... Furniture and solutions that companies can discover in our 600 m² showroom. Each company has its own specific business and organization: we know how to respond to each need and translate its culture and values into our projects.
We are creators of made-to-measure spaces. We pay particular attention to the dimension of well-being in the workplace in our design projects. We design pleasant, user-friendly spaces, which requires meticulous attention to ergonomics and decoration.
You also offer change management support...
Yes, that's another of K.R.E. Concept's strengths. We offerchange management support to ensure that teams buy into the project and participate in the co-creation of future spaces. We have to explain to them how the transformation of their workplace meets new challenges:
- retain and attract talent,
- make employees want to come back to the office,
- adapting spaces to new working practices
- promote the company brand to employees and customers.
How do you take eco-responsibility into account?
We take this into account at every stage: by selectively sorting materials during the demolition phase, by retaining existing structures and integrating them into the new project, by using materials from the circular economy, by integrating energy-saving concepts and by favoring short supply chains where relevant.
Who put their trust in K.R.E. Concept?
We carry out over 150 projects every year. For example, we've fitted out the new head office of the Confédération des Buralistes, completely renovated several floors for SNCF Immobilier, and fitted out workspaces for OASIS 21, Mutuelle Bleue, Galian Assurances, Crédit Agricole, L'Oréal, Ubisoft, Pay Pal...
